The number of people suffering with work-related mental health issues has increased by 7% since 2016. In 2017, work-related stress became the most common form of work-related illness for the first time.

April became one of those statistics when she broke down after coming home from work one day, as she couldn’t handle the stress her job was causing her any more. April was working so many hours that she couldn’t provide an average of when she worked each week – and the pressure of her high-profile job only increased year after year. This left her feeling like she couldn’t cope. She began to feel depressed and alone – and felt like there was no one she could turn to for help. April then found Peace of Mind.

April spoke to one of our nurses who took the time to listen to her worries and provided the support she so desperately needed. April told the nurse, “You were very, very kind. You have just been so nice compared to other people I have talked to. From one person to another, I really do thank you.”

After the assessment is completed, I can put a certificate on every client’s file. So, everyone’s getting that consistent scoring and I also get a copy of the questions and answers so I can go in and find out how I may deliver a slightly different service going forward.
